individually commissioned garments built with precision, discretion, and strategic intent.

Every commission begins with clarity - not fabric.

Not off-the-rack. not made-to-measure retail.

a commission at avenue a is not a quick order placed form a swatch book.

its a structured garment development process informed by advisory, body geometry, lifestyle demands, and long term wardrobe direction.

each garment is built intentionally with decisions that consider proportion, environment, and future integration into your wardrobe system.

its not about owning a suit.

its about owning the right suit.

the commission process

Fabric Architecture

Selection from established mills known for structural integrity and longevity.

Considerations include:

- Fiber composition (100% wool, wool-silk blends, performance blends)

- Super number range (typically Super 110s-130s for balance of durability and drape)

- Weight classification ( 8-14 oz depending on climate and purpose)

-Seasonality and frequency of wear

Structural Decisions

The internal construction of a garment determines its character.

Decisions include:

- Shoulder expression ( natural, roped, structured)

- Canvas construction (half or full canvas depending on objective)

- Lapel proportion calibrated to torso width

- Jacket length balanced to leg line

- Trouser rise selected based on body geometry

Precision Measurement & Fitting

Initial measurements capture posture, slope, Stance, and asymmetry.

Fittings appointments refine:

- Sleeve pitch

- Collar balance

- Waist suppression

- Trouser break and taper

- Movement allowances

Multiple fittings may be required depending on complexity.

The objective is controlled drape without tension or excess.

Final Calibration

Before delivery:

- Balance Check

- Movement test

- Visual proportion assessment

- Styling alignment

Garments are delivered only when alignment is achieved.
